Panda dials are probably the most iconic dial variations in the pantheon of watch design. In February 2023, Vacheron Constantin had yet to release "panda" chronograph.
The Vacheron Constantin Overseas chronograph watch is designed with a classic sporty style with exquisite craftsmanship. In particular, the new Vacheron Constantin Overseas Panda Dial (5500V/110A-B686) features a semi-transparent silver-tone dial with a satin-brushed finish. The dial is adorned with black sub-dials at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock, accompanied by a black minute track creating a striking black and white contrast. The 18K white gold hour markers, hands, sub-dials, and the small seconds are all coated with Super-LumiNova luminescent material, ensuring excellent visibility in the dark or low-light conditions.
For the movement, it is equipped with Vacheron Constantin's 5200 calibre and utilizes a twin-barrel system. The column wheel is adorned with Maltese cross-shaped screws, harmonizing the activation, stop, and reset functions of the chronograph. Additionally, the vertical coupling system is incorporated to reduce any slight trembling of the hands when the chronograph starts. Through the sapphire crystal case back, the watch owner can appreciate the 22K gold oscillating rotor decorated with a wind rose compass pattern.
Vacheron Constantin offers a practical and convenient quick-change strap system, allowing the watch owner to easily replace the strap according to different occasions or preferences. The watch comes with an additional black leather strap and a black rubber strap, enhancing the versatility of the timepiece.
