New OMEGA Seamaster Diver 300M 007: The Contrasting Characters of James Bond and Spectre

On 5 October 2026, Global James Bond Day, OMEGA introduced two special-edition Seamaster Diver 300M James Bond & Spectre watches, dedicated to the British secret agent and his adversarial organisation, Spectre. The occasion commemorates the London premiere of Dr. No, the first James Bond film, on 5 October 1962.
A defining feature of the new releases is the pairing of these opposing sides within a single collection. James Bond represents duty, discipline and loyalty, while Spectre embodies independence and freedom from restraint. Through the two designs, OMEGA explores different aspects of human nature, posing the question, “Which side will you choose?” to give the collection a thought-provoking theme. The James Bond and Spectre editions share much of their overall design and technical performance, expressing their distinct identities through details on the dial, bezel and caseback.

Distinctive Bezels and Dials
Both watches share the same stainless-steel case and mesh bracelet, retaining the signature features of the Seamaster Diver 300M: a unidirectional rotating bezel, a helium escape valve and a highly legible dial. Measuring 42 mm in diameter and 14.23 mm thick, the case is not especially compact. However, its curved caseback follows the contours of the wrist, while the relatively short lug-to-lug distance contributes to wearing comfort.
The character of each edition is most apparent in its bezel and dial. The James Bond edition pairs a Grade 5 titanium bezel ring with a blue aluminium dial featuring a laser-engraved wave pattern. The Spectre edition combines a black ceramic bezel ring with a black grained dial. Both bezel rings feature a raised diving scale against a matte background, creating a pronounced sense of depth despite the similar tones of the scale and its surroundings. The mesh bracelet has adjustment holes to accommodate different wrist sizes, without requiring tools to remove links as with a conventional link bracelet.

Subtle Details Behind the Caseback
Both editions are powered by Calibre 8806, the same movement used in the three-hand, no-date Seamaster Diver 300M models. As with previous James Bond-themed watches, the caseback reveals distinctive details created for these special editions.
The James Bond edition features a gun-barrel design on its rotor, with the familiar “007” logo at the centre. Through the transparent caseback, the gun-barrel engraving on the rhodium-plated rotor can be admired. The caseback is engraved with “NAIAD LOCK”, “DIVER 300M” and the water-resistance indication.
The Spectre edition’s rotor features the organisation’s “Devilfish” emblem. Visible through the transparent caseback, the octopus-like symbol adds a mysterious, slightly sinister character. Alongside the water-resistance indication, the caseback bears the inscriptions “NAIAD LOCK”, “DIVER 300M” and “Spectre”, reinforcing the theme.

From Individual Editions to Limited-Edition Sets
From the textures and materials of their dials to the symbols revealed through their casebacks, the James Bond and Spectre editions offer a subtle extension of the 007 universe. Alongside the two individually available stainless-steel watches, OMEGA has introduced separate James Bond and Spectre limited-edition sets, each restricted to 77 sets.
Each set contains one stainless-steel watch and one platinum-gold alloy watch bearing the same theme. A dedicated presentation box and coordinating accessories complete the set, including an additional NATO strap, a strap-changing tool, cufflinks, a cord bracelet, a leather travel pouch and a card holder. Together, the watches and accessories form a cohesive expression of their respective themes.
