OMEGA has unveiled a stunning new collection of Seamaster Diver 300M timepieces, introducing four new 18K precious metal versions—Sedna™ gold with white dial, Sedna™ gold with black dial, Moonshine™ gold with green dial, and Moonshine™ gold with black dial. It’s worth noting that precious metal versions of the Seamaster Diver 300M have been relatively rare. The last release of the Seamaster precious metal version was in 2019, with a 42mm 18K Sedna™ gold case paired with a blue ceramic bezel and dial. This latest launch debuted quietly on the brand’s official website, gradually expanding the lineup, a strategy OMEGA has actually used before, adding an element of surprise and exclusivity.
The four new models inherit the classic design of the Seamaster Diver 300M since its 2018 update - a 42mm case with faceted lugs, a polished ceramic unidirectional rotating bezel and dial, a conical helium escape valve at 10 o’clock and professional 300-meter water resistance, making them suitable for both daily wear and underwater adventures. The glossy ceramic dial features the series’ signature laser-engraved wave pattern and retains the practical date window, unlike most of the Seamaster Diver 300 models in recent years that opt for a no-date dial. The hands and indexes are crafted from matching 18K gold and coated with Super-LumiNova, ensuring optimal legibility in low-light or underwater conditions. Each watch is fitted with a rubber strap which is coordinated with the dial and pin buckle same to the watch case material, offering comfort, durability and visual harmony.
The Sedna™ gold white dial model features a case and bezel made from OMEGA’s proprietary 18K Sedna™ gold, an alloy blended with copper and palladium that is highly resistant to fading, maintaining its luster over time. The bezel is adorned with a grained background and raised dive scale numerals, echoing designs seen in the Seamaster Diver 300M Nekton Edition and the Paris 2024 Olympic Edition, offering rich detail. The other three models utilize OMEGA’s other patented alloy, 18K Moonshine™ gold, an exclusive alloy launched by OMEGA in 2019, inspired by the moon in the night sky. The blend of silver, copper and palladium offers a softer hue than traditional yellow gold while ensuring long-lasting radiance and stability. Except for the Sedna™ gold white dial model, the other versions are equipped with a ceramic bezel that matches the dial color, featuring Ceragold™ dive scales that combine the scratch-resistance of ceramic with the warm glow of precious metal. The two black dial models offer a classic, understated style, while the Moonshine™ gold green dial version stands out with its vivid, modern appearance and high recognition value.
All four models are powered by the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8801, which has achieved METAS certification for precision, performance, and magnetic resistance up to 15,000 gauss. The movement features a co-axial escapement, a free-sprung balance with silicon hairspring, and a single barrel, offering 55 hours of power reserve and operating at 3.5 Hz.
Compared with the 8800 calibre found in the stainless-steel models, the new Calibre 8801 offers a more luxurious visual appeal. It is equipped with an 18K Sedna™ gold balance bridge and rotor, adorned with refined Arabesque Geneva waves. Through the sapphire crystal caseback, the intricate finishing of the movement and the radiant luster of OMEGA’s proprietary precious metal are fully revealed, highlighting both the watch’s luxurious character and the brand’s watchmaking expertise.
