In recent months, IWC has expanded its TOP GUN line with the new Pilot’s Watch Automatic 41 TOP GUN “Mojave Desert” with Ref. IW32810. The watch stands out with its sand-coloured ceramic case matched with a brown dial and beige strap, perfectly capturing the rugged desert-inspired military style that defines the TOP GUN series.
Since 2019, IWC has been developing this special sand tone, now recognised as a signature look within the collection. The colour takes inspiration from U.S. Navy flight suits and the Mojave Desert, home to the Navy’s TOP GUN flight school. To achieve the unique shade, IWC mixes zirconium oxide with metallic oxides, showing its expertise in advanced ceramic engineering.
The 41 mm case houses the in-house calibre 32112 automatic movement, offering hours, minutes, seconds and date functions. It is water-resistant to 100 metres, making it practical for daily wear and light activity. The clean three-hand layout continues the TOP GUN tradition while the sand colour theme brings a refined balance between toughness and elegance. The hands, numerals and hour markers are coated with Super-LumiNova® for clear readability in low light.
The titanium caseback is engraved with the TOP GUN emblem, paying tribute to the U.S. Navy’s elite fighter squadron. The calibre 32112 features IWC’s twin-pawl winding system, offering a 120-hour power reserve and operating at 4 Hz for accuracy and reliability. The beige textured rubber strap with fabric inlay and titanium pin buckle completes the design with both comfort and durability.
The TOP GUN Mojave Desert continues the spirit of the pilot’s watch with a modern military attitude.
